New Glass is Always Fun!

We just got a shipment of glass in this week! :) Lots of colors we haven't used before, and we splurged and got some more Double Helix glass! Here are a few sample photos of what we've made so far, more to come!

Featuring DH glass dots and one of Jason's handblown shards

Look at the crackle reaction caused by the silver glass!

This bead is made of Striking Color, a gorgeous handpulled brand (made in the USA!). It features one of my handpulled murrini

Lots of different DH in this, as well as Striking Color

Awesome dot bead! Check out the reflection in each dot, way cool!

All of the beads shown will be making their way to Etsy within the next few days! :) Thanks for looking!

Murrini and Shards!

Hey everyone!! :) Hope you had a great Thanksgiving! Thanks to everyone who came out to the ENCORE Market in New Boston this weekend!

Jason and I have started to make glass supplies for other lampworkers, and we're loving it! I've been making murrini (commonly known as millefiori when in flower design), and Jason has been making shards (super think pieces of glass made by blowing out a large bubble and then smashing it). We have opened a new Etsy store just for these supplies!

Here are just a few examples of the new products, and sample beads we used them on:

*Canyon* - Fine silvered ivory glass mixed with different blues

*Harvest* - Warm corals and yellows

*Riverbed* - Loaded with silver on a pastel base color, nice organic reactions!

*Milky Way* - Loaded with silver, and makes beautiful organic reactions!

The Gallery of Gifts at the Library Arts Center started Friday in Newport, NH! We have submitted about 20 skeleton key necklaces. The exhibit runs until December 18th, and is loaded with other awesome artwork! What a great way to support local artists and the Library Arts Center's programs!

We also have some skeleton keys at the studio that will be added to the website tonight!

Here's some photos from this weekend's classes. We will be posting their beads once they are all cleaned up!

Grand Opening/NH Open Doors

Thanks to everyone who stopped by this past weekend for our grand opening/NH Open Doors! We had a blast!
For those that couldn't make it, we extended our weekend hours to 9AM-6PM both Saturday and Sunday, and had live demos going all day long. I also made some delicious carrot cake! :) Here's a virtual photo tour!

All those photos hanging up are macro shots of beads! They look so cool!

New necklaces! And the class info table. Classes are filling up fast for November!

The "POWERS ART GLASS" sign mosaic was done by Jason on a piece of scrap wood :)

A Little This, A Little That

Hey there!

October is going great! The farmer's markets are now finished for the season, which means more time for torching! We've also got a Girl Scout troop coming to the studio next week for a field trip, how cool is that!?

We've got lots of new designs being made in the studio this month! Check 'em out below :)

A new style pendant from Jason, with a fine silver/ivory glass "sun"

A wicked cool custom order, an acorn bead that fits on Euro Charm Bracelets!

A new style of fish pendant from me, complete with one of Jason's hand-dyed silk cords

And a GORGEOUS snowflake pendant from Jason. We're still looking for the perfect cord for this one

Thanks for looking, and check back soon for more glassy news!

The Birth of a GIANT!

Okay, so it's time for a photo story! Jason made one crazy bead last night! It's still in the kiln, but we think it's about 75mm in length, not to mention the beautiful scrolls he put on it! Enough talk, here's the action.
