Jason's been working on some off mandrel cabochons, which are turning out awesome!
The cabs shown are all available in our Etsy shop, and Jason also just made some mini ones on Monday! Here's a quick shot after they came out of the kiln. They will be listed in packs of 3 or 4 most likely.
Hey everyone! To celebrate our 500th Etsy sale, we're giving away one of Jason's Galaxy Pendants! :) The pendant is black, with six mini "storm" galaxies, a technique by Amy Kinsch, and five fine silvered ivory dots. Each galaxy dot has tons of depth, and swirling silver glass.
All you have to do to be entered in the drawing is leave a comment! We be drawing the name of the winner at 8:00PM EST on Monday February 14th! :)
I'm trying to push myself and my beads more since I'm full time again! I've revisited encased florals, which are a little stressful, but the end result is totally worth it!
This bead has a light turquoise/transparent purple/dark red twisted stringer base, encased with clear. There are layers of soft blue flowers, and Double Helix silver glass dots on the surface.
I've also decided to cut loose and not only make beads that I know will turn out good. The beads below are an example of me just having fun, and they turned out awesome!
This crunch bead has a light turquoise base, with orange dots, encased with clear. There are layers of my handpulled murrini, as well as murrini and subtle orange stringer designs on the surface.
This crunch bead has a black (which is really a dark transparent purple as you can see in some spots) base, with white dots that have been poked and capped with transparent aqua glass. The bead is encased with clear, and has three raised Double Helix silver glass dots on each side.
I pulled a new murrini cane too! The photo below shows a coral crunch bead with three of the new murrini that have been twisted together-fun!
I'm back to lampwork full time now! :) To celebrate, I made some cheerful Spring inspired encased crunch beads! I used our handpulled twisties, and some of my murrini (okay well a lot of my murrini). These were very relaxing to make, and I have some that just came out of the kiln from yesterday waiting to be cleaned and photographed! All are available in our Etsy shop
Thanks for looking, and have a great Tuesday afternoon! :) -Andrea
